THE CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF COFFEE BUSINESS AS A COMPONENT OF ITS COMPETITIVENESS (THE CASE OF STARBUCKS)

Abstract
The article examines the role of corporate social responsibility in the context of increasing the competitiveness of the enterprise on an example of the Starbucks corporation, demonstrating the successful combination of non-profit activities with the achievement of high economic performance. The level of ethics of behaviour of Ukrainian enterprises during the last six years is analysed, which showed some fluctuations and a rather low level of this indicator. Recommendations on the non-profit activities of representatives of coffee business in Ukraine are worked out and the importance of gaining competitive advantages over rivals in the industry through the recognition of corporate social responsibility is substantiated.
