THE DEVELOPMENT OF MASS PHYSICAL CULTURE AND SPORT IN AZERBAIJAN DURING 1993–2003 YEARS

Abstract
The article deals with the return of the national leader Heydar Aliyev to power for the second time on 15 June 1993 in response of the appeal of the people. The attention and care of the government in solution of all the problems of the athletes despite the gravity of the military situation, in which we live over the long years, the difficulties associated with our compatriots, who have left their homes, the economic stringency. The Ministry of Youth and Sport in the republic in 1994 in accordance with the decree of the President of Azerbaijan Republic Heydar Aliyev was formed. The establishment of Sport Fund in Azerbaijan in 1995 under the decree of the President, the unanimous chose of Ilham Aliyev, the first vice-president of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic, as the president of National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan Republic in 1997 and other issues are described in the given article.
