The Effect of Different Doses of Phosphorus Applications on Seed Yield of Italian Ryegrass
Journal Title: ISPEC Journal of Agricultural Sciences - Year 2022, Vol 6, Issue 1
Abstract
This research was carried out between December 2020 and May 2021 in the experimental fields of Ege University Faculty of Agriculture, Field Crops Department, in the ecological conditions of Bornova District of Izmir, in order to examine the effects of phosphorus applications at different doses on Italian grass seed yield. In the experiment in the research, randomized blocks were arranged in 3 replications in accordance with the experimental design and the parcel dimensions were carried out to be 2 m x 2 m = 4 m2. Grasslands Bıll type Italian grass was used as plant material, and as phosphorus, ise % 45 triple ixers phosphate form and 0 – 2.5 - 5 – 7.5 and 10 kg/da fertilizer were applied. In the study, plant height, spike length, number of spikelets ixers pike, seed yield and thousand-grain weight were the parameters examined. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that all parameters examined in Italian grass were statistically affected by the applied phosphorus doses. It was determined that the effects of the investigated elements in the Italian ryegrass from the phosphorus fertilizer doses were linear, and the lowest yield was obtained in the application of 0 kg/da of phosphorus, while the highest yield was obtained from the application of phosphorus at 10 kg/da.
