The effect of emotional intelligence training on social adjustment of students

Abstract

Objective: Because some students are always aggressive in the field of learning creates nuisance causing problems in the school and class education. So when people have little ability to control their emotions, social protection can not earn enough in stressful situations and problems of life without adequate social support, coping difficult. So the skills needed to adapt to these requests and changes are necessary .The present study aimed to curriculum development, emotional intelligence and its effect on social adjustment of students is conducted aggressive. Methodology: This is a test. And a stratified random sampling method aggressive first 30 high school students (14 cases and 16 controls), respectively. In this study, to assess the social compatibility California Personality Inventory (CPI) report the scale of social adjustment and school officials about the number of visits to the school office because aggression is used. Results: For data analysis, analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used. The results of analysis of covariance showed that after 7 sessions of emotional intelligence were significant differences in the experimental group compared to the control group increased social adjustment there. And the number of visits to the office fell off the team. This difference was also observed in the scale of social adjustment, but not a significant difference in the scales.
