THE EFFECT OF FOUR-STEP CURRENT COMMUTATION ON THE MATRIX CONVERTER OUTPUT CURRENT

Abstract

The paper presents the implementation of the four-step current commutation in matrix converter using the programmable ALTERA CPLD device. The dependence of the output current distortion on modulation parameters i.e. step length and voltage gain has been investigated empirically. The tests were done using a laboratory model of a double converter.<br/><br/>
