THE EFFECT OF LIGHT INTENSITY AND TEMPERATURE ON THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF MICROALGAE
Journal Title: International scientific journal Science and Innovation - Year 2024, Vol 3, Issue 9
Abstract
In this work, the effect of light intensity and temperature on the formation of the largest biomass in local strains of microalgae Chlorella vulgaris 4, Scenedesmus quadricauda, Anabaena variabilis 17, Nostoc linckia 44, Spirulina platensis was studied. It was found that the studied strains of cyanobacteria Nostoc linckia 44, Anabaena variabilis 17 and Spirulina platensis form the largest amount of dry biomass at an illumination level of 2500 lux. When growing strains of unicellular green algae C. vulgaris 4 and S. quadricauda at 30 °C, the rate of biomass accumulation was higher than at 24 °C and 36 °C.
