The Effect of Motivation on Workers Output

Abstract

The study is aimed at establishing the relationship between motivation and workers output in work place. Data were collected from five hundred and sixty (560) out of the one thousand and ninety three staff (academic and non- academic) and another thirty nine (39) out of the sixty five (65) management staff of Federal Polytechnic Bauchi with the aid of questionnaire designed to achieve that. The data was analyzed using the simple percentage. The result of the study shows that motivation in work place enhances workers output. Majority of the respondents believes that the level of motivation determine the level of output in work place. It is therefore recommended among others that management should pay closer attention to motivation of staff in terms of welfare and other benefits.
