The Effects of Teaching Self-regulation Learning Models on the Educational Procrastination among Girl Students at Bu Ali Sina University

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to study the effects of teaching self regulation learning strategies on educational procrastination among girl students at BuAliSina University. This research is a half-tentative study. First, the educational procrastination questionnaire was carried out on the students. Then the research sample was chosen randomly from the procrastinator persons and they were placed in the tentative group and the control group (each including 20 persons). The subjects in the tentative group received 12 sessions of teaching self regulation learning strategies. When the sessions ended, the posttest was carried out on the two groups. The findings showed that teaching self regulation learning strategies resulted in the decrease of educational procrastination in students. Making use of the self regulation learning strategies caused greater effort in education and the students accepted their responsibility regarding their educational activities and this resulted in the decrease of procrastination and more planning.
