The Examination and Analysis of Some Concepts in Quran Related to the "Voice" the Basis of Music

Abstract
This article mainly deals with a set of Qur'anic words and conceptions pertaining to some occurrences causing different sounds such as dabh, duâ/da’wa, adhan, hasîs, qâria, nidâ, sâkhha, sarra/sarsâr, sawt, sayha, sûr and zajra as mentioned in alphabetic order. Having examined lingual roots of these words and their psychological effects on audience, it seeks for relation of them to musical sound forms which are very central to the art of Music. In order to do that, it analyzes findings came up in classical exegesis of Qur’an in regard to these terms.
