THE GEOLOGICAL-ENGINEERING PROPERTIES OF THE TILLS FROM THE NORTHERN PART OF WROCLAW

Abstract
The results of geological-engineering tests on the tills from Wroclaw area are presented in the paper. The basic geotechnical parameters, such as density, water content, Atterberg limits and mechanical parameters: compressibility and strength parameters have been determined in the research. The tests have shown that the consistency of the tills is usually very stiff or stiff. The consolidation state has been estimated as normally consolidated – NC. The value of compressibility index Cc allowed classifying the analyzed soils as of average compressibility.
