THE GREASE CONTENT IN COMPOSITE THERMOSETTING METAL-POLYMER
Journal Title: Tribologia - Year 2013, Vol 248, Issue 2
Abstract
This paper presents the impact of the grease additive content in the metal– –polymer composite that improves the wear characteristics of the investigated composites. The investigated composite material was based on phenol-formaldehyde resin with the addition of iron and high temperature grease varying by percentage share in composite. The results of the tribological processes, which were conducted under different conditions of load and velocity, are presented. The tests were performed without external lubrication, which are technically dry conditions. After the experiments, analysis was conducted on the influence of the friction parameters and grease content in composite on wear characteristics and temperature changes. It was found that the content of grease in the composite has a positive effect on the working of the composite steel.

Polimery kationowe jako efektywne dodatki do substancji smarowych na bazie wody
Głównie ze względu na aspekty ekologiczne prowadzone są badania nad zastosowaniem wody jako bazy substancji smarowych. Trwają próby poprawy jej niekorzystnych właściwości tribologicznych i fizykochemicznych (np. działani...
THERMAL ANALYSIS OF THE FRICTION PROCESS OF SLIDING BEARINGS USING A STATISTICAL APPROACH
During the friction processes in a sliding bearing complex, phenomena occur that are included amongst the most difficult and complex problems in tribological studies. Therefore, there is a need for a systematic applicati...
THE INFLUENCE OF SPRAY LUBRICATION OF AN OPEN GEAR TRANSMISSION ON THE TOOTH WEAR AND TRANSMISSION EFFICIENCY
The article covers the issues of the influence of the type of lubrication on the tribological wear and operational reliability of open gears in the propulsion system of ball mills and rotary kilns. The influence of the t...
MODEL OF THE ELEMENTARY PROCESS OF ABRASIVE WEAR
The work assumed a geometric model of metal abrasion with a coneshaped grain. This assumption was used to define a method to calculate wear particle geometry and connect them with portions of mechanical energy. Friction...
THE PROCESS OF FORMATION OF THE ADHESIVE CAVITIES UNDER OSCILLATORY MOTION
During the direct contact of metal-to-metal, complex tribological wear processes occur. One of the most important and the most problematic phenomena leading to irreversible changes in the geometric structure of the surfa...
