Background and Aim: Retirement is a stressful situation that most employed persons may experiencing that. Career termination among elite athletes can produce more pressure on them, because they experience this situation in their late years of youth or early middle age period, and these stages are age of development and maturity of employment for their peers. The aim of current study was assessing the impact of neurofeedback training on reducing of anxiety of a retired elite athlete of powerlifting. She suffered from anxiety signs after her retirement. She completed the Beck’s anxiety inventory and assessed with ClinicalQ method in baseline and post-treatment. In this case, the asymmetry of Beta in frontal lobe was associated with anxiety; this indicator had been determined as protocol of neurofeedback training. The participant received 32 sessions of neurofeedback training, 2 sessions per week. The data was analyzed with differences of baseline and post treatment divide baseline (A-B/A) as the ratio of improvement. Results: The results of present study demonstrate that participant had improvement in anxiety (d=0.41) and beta asymmetry in frontal lobe (d=0.56). Conclusion: The results of present study have been indicating that neurofeedback training can significantly reduce anxiety and help to elite athletes for overcoming anxiety and related states of career terminate.
