The importance of biomass for energy in Poland

Abstract
The growing demand for fuel, the limited resources of fossil fuels and environmental concerns have increased interest in renewable energy sources. The development of systems using renewable energy sources is due to the support mechanisms enshrined in legislation. In Polish conditions, biomass is the most significant source of renewable energy. The paper presents the impact of legislation on the market of renewable energy sources, including biomass.
