THE INFLUENCE OF MODIFYING ADDITIVE ON THE BASIS OF POLYMER AND SILICA AND MECHANICAL FORCE ON PHYSICOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF ECOLOGICAL GREASES

Journal Title: Tribologia - Year 2010, Vol 230, Issue 2

Abstract

This article presents the investigation results of the influence of developed additive AR (silica and polymer) on the physicochemical properties of selected lubricated compositions made on mineral basis with lithium thickener and non-organic thickener Aerosil. The investigation physicochemical properties were carried out for lubricants not containing the modified additive and compared them with the results obtained for lubricating greases modified with the additive mentioned above. It has been appointed penetration, penetration on extended kneading, dropping point and emission of oil from grease. Based on the results of the investigation of physicochemical properties, we concluded that modified additive of silica and polymer influences on increase of dropping point lubricating greases and on reduction emission of oil from grease. However, the value of penetration of research lubricating greases to reduce on introduces to theirs structure above mentioned additive both before kneading and on extended kneading. The decrease of penetration of investigation plastic greases induced of presence modified additive non disqualified there on practical application, because grocer industry expect used to lubricating greases on range of penetration for correspond to 2-3 class of consistency
