The Influence of the Heat Treatment upon the Resistance to Corrosion of the Composite Obtained Using the Electrodepositing of TiO2 in a Nickel Matrix
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2010, Vol 33, Issue 2
Abstract
The resistance to corrosion of a composite material obtained using the electrodepositing of TiO2 in a nickel matrix subjected to heat treatment was studied using the galvanostatic method; the samples were obtained by the electrodepositing of TiO2 (60%) in a nickel matrix on a copper basis. A Watts electrolyte was used for the electrodepositing. The resistance to corrosion of a sample without composite layer was compared with the resistance to corrosion of a sample with a composite layer subjected to heat treatment.

Predicting of Remaining Eutectic Carbide Content in W1.4855 Steel as Function of Carbon Content and Heat Treatment Parameters
The relationship between the carbon content of W1.4855 steel, and the parameters of heat treatment of solution quenching (maintaining time and maintaining temperature) is investigated. The obtained experimental data are...
Transparent and Conducting Tin Oxide Thin Films Deposited by Spray Pyrolysis
The chemical spray pyrolysis technique has been one of the major techniques to deposit a wide variety of materials in thin film form, for different applications. The most important control parameters for obtaining good q...
The Behavior of an Experimental Model of Wind Turbine with Vertical Axle with Overlapped Cups at Low Wind Speeds
This work is based on an experimental model of vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT), which used a pair of hemispherical blades (cups) with variable overlap. Maintaining the rotation speed to a constant value and in order to...
Load Behavior of an Vertical Axle Wind Turbine Model With a Four Blades Periodically Coupled Aerodynamically
The paper is based on experiments conducted on the wind tunnel at low wind speeds (<4.5 m/s), on an experimental wind turbine model of the Savonius type with four blades and a D/H ratio of 2.6. The four blades are period...
Thermal Decomposition of Hafnium Ethoxide-Mollecular Precursor for Hafnia Dielectric Thin Films
The HfO2 thin-film is a very promising gate dielectric material for last generation transistors. The paper presents the thermal decomposition of hafnium ethoxide used as molecular precursor for obtaining hafnia thin film...
