The initial stage of archaeological researches of the hillfort Dikiy Sad

Abstract
The article, based on available archival materials and scientific publications, analyzes the main results of the initial stage of archaeological research of the hillfort Dikiy Sad of the final bronze age. The main attention is paid to the first reconnaissance in the «Dikiy Sad» tract, which was conducted by F.T. Kaminsky in 1927, and the first excavation of this territory carried out by the Black Sea archaeological expedition of the Kiev State University named after T.G. Shevchenko, led by L.M. Slavin in 1956. There are presents the fields and archive photographs, drawings and drawings of artifacts from the 1920s and the 1950s, as well as modern panoramic photographs and drawings of the site of the Dikiy Sad hillfort. Analyzes the main archaeological materials, obtained in the 1920s and 1950s, a brief description of the new research of the site of ancient settlement, which has been held regularly in the Dikiy Sad since 1991, is given. An attempt is made to correlate archaeological materials of the first half of the 20th century with the results of modern research.
