Yozgat is located on a region of Middle Kızılırmak in the Central Anatolia. During these riots, public order was disrupted and offenses such as theft and murder had increased. Some of the prominent people of the Çapanoğlu family which was the most influential and well-known family in Yozgat, couldn’t understand the necessity of the Turkish war of liberation. They chose the side of İstanbul Government and joined the rebellion. Upon that the government of Ankara sent “Kuva-yi Seyyare” forces to the region under the command of Çerkez Ethem Bey. Finally, the rebellion was surpassed in a bloody way and the Çapanoğlu family was scattered. After that, though some local events emerged around Yozgat, these events had been surpressed by the national forces.
