THE ISSUE ON FORMATION OF THE FUTURE PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS’ HEALTH SAVING COMPETENCE IN THE MODERN PEDAGOGICAL SCIENCE

Abstract

The issue regarding the formation of the health saving competence is very important in the context of professional training targeted to the future primary school teachers. It is stipulated by the changes in the modern education system, which is aimed at forming a healthy generation of young people who can take care of their own health, have healthy lifestyle and teach their own children. In the presented paper, the notion “health saving competence” has been analyzed and the essence of the notion “formation of the future primary school teachers’ health saving competence” has been considered taking into account the topicality of the health saving competence formation. It has been demonstrated that the efficiency of the formation of the future primary school teachers’ health saving competence most of all depends on the realization of the set of pedagogical conditions: a continuous process facilitating the formation of the knowledge system, skills and abilities of organization of students’ healthy lifestyle; the formation of positive attitude and positive perception of students’ own health as an element of teachers’ activities; the use of innovation technologies in the learning process, which is the basement for the formation of the value attitude to health as well as the acquisition of the healthy lifestyle experience. In addition, the author’s definition of the notion “formation of the future primary school teachers’ health saving competence” has been presented; it is interpreted as a purposeful process aimed at the acquisition of the knowledge system, skills and abilities the healthy lifestyle organization, values and reasons for saving students’ own health and health of other individuals; it is a component of professionalism in their future teaching profession. Therefore, the pedagogical conditions listed above give a possibility to organize the professional training of the future primary school teachers in the system of higher education at a rather high level, which, in turn, allows forming the health saving competence. At the same time, the consideration of issue does not cover all aspects. The perspective of the future research is seen in the consideration and giving grounds of the contents, forms and methods enabling the formation the future primary school teachers’ health saving competence.
