The management report in the contemporary reporting model: The reporting practices of public companies listed on the WSE

Abstract
The main aim of this article is to determine using analysis of the reporting practice the form of presentation of non-financial information. The aim of this ar- ticle is also to identify the scope of the management report in the practice of public listed companies. The content of the article was prepared on the basis of literature studies and analysis of websites of companies from the WIG 30. In the article the attempt to lo- cate the management report in the modern reporting model is taken. The article also refers to the scope of the management report origins from the national and in- ternational regulations. The results of empirical studies are the most significant part of this article. The results indicate that the reporting practices of individual companies in the field of management reports vary. The management report is in the majority of companies integrated with the financial statements. In the case of some surveyed companies the information from management report was trans- ferred to optional reports.
