Abstract
The article reveals the peculiarities of holding tourist and local history work in Ukrainian non-school educational institutions of the second half of the XX – beginning of the XXI centuries in the North, South, East, West, Central regions of Ukraine on the concrete examples. It has been found out that natural and recreational, historical and cultural peculiarities of the territory have an impact on tourist and local lore activity of the educational institutions.
