THE PROBLEMS OF THE MODERN INSTITUTIONAL STRUCTURE OF THE UKRAINIAN BANKING SYSTEM

Abstract
The purpose of the article is to analyze the consequences of the banking system’s nationalization in order to forecast trends in the development of the banking system in Ukraine. Some features of the modern state-owned banking system in Ukraine are revealed. Privatization of Privatbank is considered an event that can not be separated from the entire context of the socio-economic and political development of the country and is considered solely as being purely in the banking system. The potential of a conflict of interests connected with the fulfillment og a state its functions as owner and regulator, as owner and supervisor, as owner and developer of macroeconomic policy is revealed. Identifying these problems allows us to find adequate approaches to solving the problems of building an effective institutional structure of the banking sector.
