The Relationship between Obesity and Diabetes
Journal Title: Journal of Diabetes and Obesity - Year 2018, Vol 5, Issue 1
Abstract
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a lifelong condition that can transform carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism. The cause of which is the lack of the hormone insulin as a result of either the ongoing or striking failure of the β-Langerhans islet cells of the pancreas to produce insulin or owing to the flaws in insulin ingestion in the surrounding tissue.
