The Relationship between Structural and Managerial Dimensions of Managers Empowerment in Mazandaran Azad Universities

Abstract

This study investigated relationship between the structural and managerial dimensions for managers empowerment of Mazandaran's Islamic Azad Universities. This was descriptive research, kind of survey and Its population was consisting of unit's directors and deputes ,college's directors and deputes, managers of group, managers and college's officials(administrative ,educational and research officers) in Islamic Azad Universities of Mazandaran in 2011-2012 which include N = 750. Sample is chosen based on Cochran formula including 253 people. Stratified sampling was used randomly. For collecting data, library and field methods are applied. In field way, responses closed questionnaire with 50 Statements was adjusted in 5-level Likert scale which measure components of manager's empowerment. Collected data was classified in SPSS and confidence coefficient was calculated by Cronbach Alpha method (0/96). The effective factors for managers empowerment of academic units in two dimensions, structural, managerial identification and the load factor was determined. There was significant relation between structural and managerial dimensions. The structural dimension variance was more than managerial dimension. Research findings showed that vision, purpose and mission components and training methods and way of acquiring skills and knowledge in structural dimension, Component of job satisfaction and the feeling of safety management in managerial dimension had the highest average in the load factor. In managers point of views managers of these factors played a significant role in empowering managers.
