The review of the instrumental mediums for the design of the mobile applications for the educational purposes

Abstract
The article discusses the characteristics, the advantages and disadvantages of the modern operating platforms for mobile devices. It is revealed that, according to the published ratings of the top-selling mobile devices, the most common is the mobile platform Android. The article analyzes the possibilities of the tools for the development of the mobile applications for Android, IOS, Windows Phone. It is revealed, that there is no universal environment for development of mobile applications and its choice depends on the platform and requirements that are imposed to the future software.
