THE RIGHTS OF NATIONAL MINORITIES: WHAT DO WE HAVE AT HAND AND WHAT DO WE STRIVE FOR?

Abstract
The article discusses the current issues of improvement of national legislation on the protection of national minorities. It is argued that legislation on minority rights requires urgent revision, which will meet the main challenges of the modern Ukrainian society and the international legal obligations of the state. It is showed that one of the priority issues should be proper relevant institutional support.
