The role of integral humanism values in project management

Journal Title: International Journal of Contemporary Management - Year 2012, Vol 11, Issue 2

Abstract

Despite the great social impact of projects and the continuous efforts of ambiguous scientists and practitioners, the majority of projects fail to meet their goals. State-of-the-art processes in determining the reasons for these failures point to human beings as the key success factor. So it seems to be all but natural to search for the solution using humanistic theories. This integral humanism, in particular the value system of Scheller and the three ethical principles of that philosophy, forms a coherent base for the development of the leader’s personality and his intelligence making sense, making him capable to act in the presence of uncertainty, immanent to all projects.
