THE ROLE OF INTELLECTUAL SKILLS OF JUNIOR SPORTSMAN IN THE SELECTION OF COPING-STRATEGIES

Abstract
The views of scientists on the problem of the role of intellectual abilities in the selection of coping strategies by young athletes are analyzed in the work. Empirically investigated are the features of the selection of coping strategies by athletes with high and low levels of intellectual abilities, a comparative analysis is made. The conducted research has shown that the revealed indicators, which state the role of the level of development of intellectual abilities of young athletes in choosing coping strategies, turned out to be statistically significant.
