THE ROLE OF THE CORPORATION IN THE WORLD ECONOMY

Abstract
The article highlights the issue concerning the key importance of corporations in the processes of globalization of the world economy. Also, the characteristic features and success factors of large corporations are highlighted. The theoretical bases of corporations’ activity at the present stage of globalization of the world economy are considered, the processes of functioning of corporations in the world are analyzed, and directions of their further development are determined. It is revealed that the main trend of the modern world economy is its globalization. Transnational corporations carry out economic, financial, trade, technological, and at a new stage and political-social interaction of the countries of the world. Attention is focused on the fact that the activities of transnational corporations fundamentally change the picture of the world, and therefore without taking this into account it is impossible to study the processes taking place in the modern world.
