The Schroeder Frequency of Furnished and Unfurnished Spaces
Journal Title: Romanian Journal of Acoustics and Vibration - Year 2012, Vol 9, Issue 2
Abstract
This paper considers the situation in which an empty room is furnished. Hence, the Schroeder frequency of an empty room is compared with the Schroeder frequency of the same room when it is furnished. It is concluded that the Schroeder frequency of empty spaces is more accurate compared with the Schroeder frequency of furnished spaces.

Application of Superposition Principle to Detect Damages in Beams by using Natural Frequencies
This paper presents the researches made by the authors in order to detect damages in beams using natural frequencies by applying the superposition principle. The chosen type of beam was the cantilever one, for which a da...
The Application of Electrical Strain Gages at a Sgns Type Wagon
The Sgns type wagons are flat cars which are used for carrying 20’, 30’ and 40’ containers. It is one of the longest freight wagons (the length of the chassis is 18500 mm). According to the loading limits, the wagon allo...
Dynamic Response of Anchored Tower Cranes under Sinusoidal Damped Seismic Action. Case Study
The subject of the behavior of tower cranes under seismic motion, it is particularly one. On September 2009, in the XXXIII National Conference on Mechanics of Solids - Romania, the authors presented the hypothesis of ana...
Stress Intensity Factor vs. Transversal Deflection - How to Determine the Damage Severity?
This paper compare two methods to determine the severity of a damage occurring in cantilever; the first method is well-known in the literature and base on an approach from fracture mechanics, while the second is contrive...
