THE SKILL OF SATIRE IN «FAIRY TALES FOR CHILDREN A DECENT AGE» OF M. E. SALTYKOV-SHCHEDRIN

Abstract
The article highlights the relevance of the study of the skill of satire in the writer's tales. The content of the concept of «satire» as an accusatory artistic medium is disclosed. The reasons that prompted the author to use satire in fairy tales are established. Described and analyzed the art of satire in the tales of M. E. Saltykov-Shchedrin. Namely, in the following tales: «The tale of how one man fed the two generals», «The wise gudgeon», «The horse», «The conscience has disappeared».
