The stability of the long compound plate streamlined by a supersonic gas flow

Abstract

The problem of the static stability of a long compound plate in a supersonic gas flow is investigated. The flow is directed from the free edge to the contrary hinged edge and is parallel to the other two edges. The compound plate consists of two parts. The support is putted in the place of connection of different parts of the plate. The critical velocity of flow is determined in which compound plate looses static stability.
