The state of Ukraine economy in the context of foreign economic security

Abstract
Subject of study: Analysis of the Ukrainian economy stability level and the determination of trends in its dynamics on the basis of comparison of actual, optimal and critically permissible values of foreign economic security indicators. The aim of the study: is to justify the directions of the state policy towards ensuring the national economy stability on the basis of identification of favorable and destabilizing factors of the Ukrainian economy development. Methodology of the work: methods of scientific abstraction and logical generalization – in order to clarify the essential characteristics of the concepts of the national economy sustainability and foreign economic security; comparative analysis – for comparison of actual and normative values of foreign economic safety indicators; methods of analysis and synthesis – to identify factors that affect the level of foreign economic security; methods of structural and functional approach – for justification of directions of system–process management of Ukraine macroeconomic stability. Results of the work: The concept of the national economy sustainable development in the context of foreign economic security is formulated; the main system threats and restrictions of the economy of Ukraine sustainable development are defined. The goals of the state economic policy to increase its level of stability in the context of foreign economic security are formulated. Conclusions: Sustainability of the economy is defined as its ability to form optimal macroeconomic proportions and maintain their dynamics in acceptable from the angle of economic safety margins. It characterizes the potential ability of the economy to withstand changes of the external environment with minimal damage or loss of functionality. The low level of the Ukrainian economy sustainability and defined in the article negative trends in its dynamics provoke the inability of the system to withstand negative external shocks due to the lack of fundamental preconditions for economic growth and the orientation towards short–term market conditions. The analysis of trends and destabilizing factors in the development of the Ukrainian economy allowed to formulate the priority directions of the state policy to ensure its sustainability in the context of the foreign economic security parameters, namely: reduce the economy dependence on the situation on the foreign markets by reorientation to the production and export of products with a high technological processing level; increase the domestic market by stimulating aggregated demand; increase the level of geographical and commodity diversification of foreign trade; reduce material and energy intensity of production; eliminate the deformed sectoral and technological structure of production; eliminate the banking system imbalances and attract financial resources to the structural transformations of the national economy; reduce the level of external debt of the state; ensure the external stability of the monetary unit and reduce the level of dollarization of the economy. is justified that the increase in the level of foreign economic security is an integral part of the formation of the stable Ukrainian economy and should take place taking into account the complex of the above–mentioned factors.
