The UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the US Constitutional Law

Abstract

The article deals with the analysis of the peculiarities of the perception of the basic provisions of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations in the United States of America. It is proved that the US national legal system is not conducive to the recognition of the main provisions of this international legal instrument as a guide to the legal regulation of the fundamental rights and freedoms of the citizens of the country-leader of the world community. The leaders of the US Allies considered the Human Rights Council as a tool of global governance, through which they managed to promote their own values as matrix for all countries of the world. In addition, the United States was the main stakeholder in this global policy design, but Washington's decision to withdraw from the Human Rights Council is becoming a stunning example of the rejection of the concept of multilateralism in international relations. For the United States the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is not directly relevant, and this is very annoying for the entire civilized world.
