«Threatening» the religious situation and the counterattacks of State in 1944-1960’s (based on the Odessa Eparchy)

Abstract
The article is revealed the contradictory and irreconcilable character of relations the Soviet State to the Orthodox Church the second period of 1940’s – 60’s. Traced the transition from State politicians flirting with the Church, which took place during the war, a decisive closing of churches and other measures. The efforts of the Orthodox Church to fit into the social life of the Soviet society, to find a compromise, were unsuccessful – the retreat was over, the hostility of the authorities to the Church returned into their own.
