TO THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ACADEMY OF MINING SCIENCES – THE LEADER OF RUSSIAN MINING COMMUNITY

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Academy of Mining Sciences (AMS), the initiative of which belongs to the Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation Yu.N. Malyshev. The AMS is an interregional public organization registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation on October 28, 1993. It is accredited at the Department of Public Information in the United Nations New York, USA as a non-governmental organization with special consultative status with its Economic and Social Council under the Committee on Sustainable The main activity of the AMS is aimed at promoting the development of scientifi c, technical and technological potentials in the fi eld of mining mineral deposits, the construction of mining enterprises, raising the level of scientifi c developments, ensuring scientifi c and technological progress, effi ciency and safety of production. The article describes the history of the creation, activities, leadership and results of the work of the AMS for 25 years, the participation and the role of IGD them. A.A. Skochinsky in the creation of the branch science of the coal industry, proposals on combining efforts to solve urgent problems of excavating thin layers in diffi cult conditions. At the end of the article, an offi cial congratulation is given to the AGN congratulations on the anniversary.
