To the question of absence of early Scythian funeral monuments in the zone of influence of Вorysthenes and Оlbia

Abstract
The paper considers the causes of the lack of early Scythian funeral monuments dated middle of 7th – third quarter of 6th centuries BC in the area of economic and political interests of Borysthenes and Olbia. Possible reasons for it are: absence of Scythians’ main traditional seasonal paths in the region; resource based economy of early Greek colonies; lack of contractual relations between Greeks and nomads. These factors may be the reasons for the absence of early Scythian funeral monuments in the area. It is highlighted that the definitive decision of the problem claims further studies.
