TOTAL ATHEISATION OF THE TITULAR NATION OF UKRAINE DURING THE 60’S OF THE XXTH CENTURY AND ITS CONSEQUENCES

Abstract
This article studies the church and religious life of the Ukrainians in the context of national and political processes during the 60’s of the twentieth century. It characterizes the anti-religious policy of the Soviet regime and analyzes its consequences for the Ukrainian people, highlights the basic forms and methods of atheistic propaganda, studies the attitude of the representatives of the titular nation of Ukraine concerning religious persecution by the by the communist leadership.
