Towards Structure, Time and Statistical Agility
Journal Title: Acta Technica Napocensis- Electronica-Telecomunicatii (Electronics and Telecommunications) - Year 2008, Vol 49, Issue 3
Abstract
This paper considers the evolution of modern adaptive filtering in the context of applications in wireless communications. The main contribution is to introduce a common framework which potentially allows the adaptive system to include structure, e.g. number of coefficients, as one of the adaptable parameters. The proposed structure also allows for statistical variations to be taken into account in a highly time variant manor. Some examples are also cited to illustrate these features.

LOW-Cost Prototype Equipment For VLF Radio Wave Monitoring
The paper presents a short overview of the natural phenomena that generates VLF, ELF and SLF electromagnetic waves. In order to emphasize the importance of studying these waves, the paper presents a prototype equipment u...
Wave Iterative Process Study Of Double Dipole Scattering
The paper presents an application of the Wave Iterative Process (WIP) in the case of the study of the scattering of an electromagnetic plane wave by a system composed of two arbitrary placed metallic dipoles. The case of...
A Medical Image Fusion Method For WEB Distributed Applications
Medical images acquired with different medical modalities contain important diagnostic information. The combination of complementary data from these images can lead to more important information for diagnosis process. T...
Watermarking Based on the Hyperanalytic Wavelet Transform
In this paper we present a new technique for watermarking in the hyperanalytic wavelet domain. This has the advantage of better directional selectivity and shift invariance compared to the classical wavelet filter. The w...
