TRAINING OF THE FUTURE PROFESSIONALS OF SOCIONOMIC SPECIALTIES IN SAFETY OF LIFE AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY: CONTENTS AND METHODS

Abstract
In higher education, the training of future professionals of socionomic specialties in life safety and professional activity is provided by a number of normative disciplines related to labour protection, safety of life and activity and civil protection. The teaching of these disciplines needs to be upgraded in its contents, forms and methods, the use of new approaches. The issues regarding life and activity safety are studied in various aspects and directions. The research issues devoted to the professionals majoring in socionomic specialties cover only the aspects related to the training of the future teachers in life safety. The training of the future specialists majoring in socionomic specialties in life safety and professional activity and the formation of their «culture of safe life and activity» has not been the subject of a separate study. The aim of the article is to reveal the contents and methods of the training intended for the future professionals of socionomic specialties in safety of life and professional activity. The principle of scientific ground, the principle of functional completeness, the principle of availability and practical realization of the contents of education, the contents correspondence with the needs of society are considered by the author the principles which enable selection of the contents of education. The structuring of the contents of education was realized by means of the principles of consistency and systematic principles; adaptation of educational material to the students’ professional interests; didactic isomorphism. The organization of students’ of educational activity presupposed following the principle of visual aids to present educational information, integration of conscious activity in the self-organization of traininglearning activities; emotional experience of learning activities; collective interaction and cooperation of students and teachers. The representation of the idea of safe life as a transversal line in structuring the contents of the disciplines of human safety; pragmatic orientation of the contents and learning activities of the students; practical testing and the use of assimilated information in their own experience are singled out by the author as the pedagogical conditions enabling the realization of the training. These conditions and principles of the students’ and teachers’ work created the framework within which the process of the future professionals (majoring in socionomic specialties) training in safety of life and professional activity alongside with the formation of their culture of safe living, such as the quality which determines the effectiveness of this training. Some examples demonstrating the teaching of the normative discipline «Safety of life and activity» according to the elaborated methods are given in the article. The efficiency of the designated training has been proved: after the experimental studies a significant increase in the number of people demonstrating a high level of culture of safe live and activity in the experimental group has been recorded.
