Trust Based Decision Making System on MANET
Journal Title: International Journal on Computer Science and Engineering - Year 2012, Vol 4, Issue 4
Abstract
Ad hoc networks are new model of networks offering unrestricted mobility without any underlying infrastructure. Mobile ad hoc are gaining popularity because of availability of low cost mobile devices and its ability to provide instant wireless networking capabilities. The ad hoc networks have salient characteristics that are totally different from conventional networks. These cause extra challenges on security. MANETs are vulnerable to various types of attack because of its features like continuous changing topology, resource constraints and unavailability of any centralized infrastructure. In this paper, a trust based decision making system is proposed that will facilitate each node in the Adhoc network to communicate efficiently. The proposed model takes into account some essential variable that will contribute on calculating function of belief and finally helps to calculate the trust value among the Adhoc network.
