Tytuł International Bus of the Year dla new Solarius Urbino electric

Abstract
Rok 2016 w 26-letniej historii konkursu International Bus and Coach of the Year jest szczególny. Po pierwsze stawka walczących o prestiżowy tytuł autobusów miejskich została całkowicie zdominowana przez autobusy z napędem alternatywnym. Po drugie, po raz pierwszy główna nagroda przypadła autobusowi skonstruowanemu przez polskich inżynierów i produkowanemu w polskiej fabryce. Elektryczny Solaris zdobył tytuł Autobusu Roku, stając w szranki z tak renomowanymi producentami jak Mercedes-Benz, Van-Hool i Irizar. W niniejszym artykule zaprezentowano szczegółowy opis autobusu, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem tych elementów, które miały decydujący wpływ na zwycięstwo w konkursie.
