Abstract
Given that religious culture is an integral part of the collective memory of the people, the article explores the features of Ukrainian traditional religiosity. To this end, the peculiarity of the dual faith is clarified and it is emphasized that the latter can only manifest itself in the early stages of radical religious transformations, from then on, it concedes to such syncretic forms of religious outlook as national religions, the manifestation of which is Ukrainian Orthodoxy and folk Christianity (Orthodoxy). Along with the other one emphasizes the syncretic character of folk orthodoxy and refutes the dominant influence of paganism on the formation of its ideological and ritual component.
