Ukrainian Song Culture: Creative-Synthetic Experience of Melopoetics

Abstract
The material provides the description of the historical experience of Ukrainian musicians and cultural self-presentation of the Ukrainian community due to the melodic and poetic canvas of the Ukrainian song, analyzes its potential for self-identification. The culture of Ukrainian song music is compared to the European and global directions of synthesis in the field of verbal-musical creative practices. The phenomenal character of the Ukrainian singing culture is noted, which constitutes the basis for the introduction of the special “Ukrainian Song Day” to the official calendar of the state of Ukraine.
