УКРАЇНСЬКА ЛІТЕРАТУРНА МОВА В СИСТЕМІ НАУКОВО-КУЛЬТУРОЛОГІЧНИХ ПОГЛЯДІВ МИХАЙЛА ДРАГОМАНОВА ТА ОЛЕНИ ПЧІЛКИ

Abstract
In the article the origins and concepts of scientific and cultural views of Mikhail Drahomanov and Olena Pchilka are analyzed. The actuality of the scientific and cultural concepts of these prominent defenders of the Ukrainian culture, language and literature is out of doubt. Ukraine in the twenty-first century finally entered the European world as a full-fledged beauty, conscious of its unique charm, crowned with the glory of its descendants, giving honor to those, who fought for its independence and freedom. Mikhail Drahomanov entered the history of Ukraine as a journalist, ethnographer, critic, talented political and cultural person. He took a direction towards an all-European culture of europeanization of Ukraine, at the same time highly appreciating T. Shevchenko, the Ukrainian ethnic roots, the culture of the Ukrainian people. Olena Ptchilka shared the opinion of M. Drahomanov that the Ukrainian writers should not be shy of their native language, because it is exactly in the national ethnos the unique culture, originality of each nation are laid down. In her articles she emphasized the invaluable cultural treasure of Ukraine – her songs, music and responded to those cosmopolitans, who «rushed» to another «musical trash». Drahomanov M. and Olena Ptchilka used the folk sources, collected and published a huge folk-epigenetic material: Ukrainian carols, shchedrivki, hayivka, historical and everyday songs. Together with M. Drahomanov, Olena Ptchilka guided Ukraine «to the top» by enriching her culture with literary works of foreign authors: Schiller, Heine, Hugo, Shakespeare, Mickiewicz. «Bringing Ukraine to the World», M. Drahomanov «forged» his journalistic articles a scientific language, and Olena Ptchilka – «forged» the Ukrainian literary language. By overcoming the stubborn resistance of scholars-philologists, who considered the Ukrainian language suitable only for «everyday usage», M. Drahomanov managed to drown the end of the thread that broke down in our history in the XVIII century, that is, «drown» the book language, to overcome the inertia of many Ukrainian scholars that may have seen, for the first time, in the Ukrainian culture and language not a cripple, but a full-fledged child, a flesh from the flesh of their mother-Ukraine. M. Drahomanov, like Olena Ptchilka, paid much attention to educational and cultural activities. He wished to see Ukraine as something independent, which directly goes to the great goal of the progress of the European communities and did not want the Ukrainians to remain a provincial relative among the world culture of other nations.
