Usage pattern of complex additives based on polycarboxylates in road concrete technology
Journal Title: Вісник Одеської державної академії будівництва та архітектури - Year 2017, Vol 1, Issue 66
Abstract
Cement concrete for roads with a hard coating using the complex admixture on the base of polycarboxylates was developed. It is shown that the composition using and air-entraining cement concrete superplasticizer admixture modifies concrete structure, improves its strength and pavement durability. The compressive strength developed with concrete compositions is 24,0-43,8 MPa, which corresponds to the optimum amount of Portland cement (350-390 kg / m3) and the complex admixture (0.5-0.7% of cement weight). According to the experimental results it was revealed that the using of complex additives based on polycarboxylate improves operational performance of concrete roads, but it provides a high wear resistance (erasing is reduced by 60%). The carried out concretes physical and mechanical characteristics researches and applying of an experiment mathematical planning method have allowed offering their structures in technology of road concretes. A complex admixture can also provide significant economic benefits when using local materials in a cement-concrete coating.
