Using Digital Image Processing to Make an Intelligent Gate
Journal Title: International Journal of Advanced Computer Science & Applications - Year 2014, Vol 5, Issue 5
Abstract
This paper presents an automatic system for controlling and dominating building gate based on digital image processing. The system begins with a digital camera, which captures a picture for that vehicle which intends to enter the building, then sends the picture to the computer. Image analyses performed to detect and recognize the vehicle, and matching the vehicle’s image with the stored database of the permissible vehicles. Then, the computer sends a signal to the electro-mechanical part that controls gate to open and permits the vehicle to enter the building in case of the vehicle’s image matches any image in the database, or sends an apology voice message in case of no identical image. The system is regarded as an empirical and it was applied on various types of vehicles. Results obtained were accurate and the system is successful for all vehicles used in the system test.

Priority Based Dynamic Round Robin (PBDRR) Algorithm with Intelligent Time Slice for Soft Real Time Systems
In this paper, a new variant of Round Robin (RR) algorithm is proposed which is suitable for soft real time systems. RR algorithm performs optimally in timeshared systems, but it is not suitable for soft real time system...
Face Recognition Using Bacteria Foraging Optimization-Based Selected Features
Feature selection (FS) is a global optimization problem in machine learning, which reduces the number of features, removes irrelevant, noisy and redundant data, and results in acceptable recognition accuracy. This paper...
A Topic based Approach for Sentiment Analysis on Twitter Data
Twitter has grown in popularity during the past decades. It is now used by millions of users who share information about their daily life and their feelings. In order to automatically process and analyze these data, appl...
Face Recognition in Uncontrolled Environment
This paper presents a novel method of facial image representation for face recognition in uncontrolled environment. It is named as augmented local binary patterns (A-LBP) that works on both, uniform and non-uniform patte...
Semantic based Data Integration in Scientific Workflows
Data Integration has become the most prominent aspect of data management applications, especially in scientific domains like ecology, biology, and geosciences. Today’s complex scientific applications and the rise of dive...
