UTICAJ KVALITETA MOTORNOG ULJA NA ODRŽAVANJE MOTORNIH VOZILA / INFLUENCE OF OIL MOTOR QUALITY ON THE MAINTENANCE OF MOTOR VEHICLES

Abstract
The paper presents the characteristics and classification of motor oils. An overview of oil used in the US and European markets is presented. The possible causes and consequences of poor engine functioning are highlighted as a result of the use of inadequate oil characteristics. The criteria for a proper selection of engine oil for diesel and petrol engines are described. In addition to this, the significance of oil lubrication monitoring during exploitation is explained as one of the most important procedures involving a diagnosis of tribomechanical system status, given the functions and importance to be met in the mentioned system.
