Abstract
Petrov V.M. The revival of tractor and agricultural engineering industry in Ukraine. Time periods and the influence of some historical events on the processes of formation and development of tractor and agricultural engineering industry in Ukraine have been examined. The features of machine and tractor parks of agricultural enterprises acquisition under the conditions of different social and economic formations and also the features depending on the level of industrial development have been summarized. The decisive role of the mechanization level and, accordingly, the role of production intensification in the increasing of its technological and economic efficiency have been substantiated. The reasons and consequences of tractor and agricultural engineering industry decay in Ukraine since the time of obtaining the state independence have been determined. The position of the leading role of the state in the revival of the industry and in the formation of the material and technical resources market for agricultural sphere has been grounded. The accent is made on the erroneous orientation of the rural commodity producers concerning the acquisition of machine and tractor parks only at the expense of the imported machines and implements. Taking into the account the leading domestic and foreign experience, the variants of the revival and further innovative development of tractor and agricultural engineering industry under the modern conditions of farming are being worked out. As the most acceptable option, the variant of creating the joint ventures with the leading foreign producers of agricultural techniques and equipment is being accepted.
