Abstract
The article investigates the loss of food and food waste in the world dimension. The analysis was conducted in terms of the stages of the chain of value creation: production, storage, processing and packaging, delivery and sales, consumption. World food and food waste losses are estimated in tones and kcal; by region per person per day; according to the structure of losses.
