VOCATIONAL SCHOOL STUDENTS FOR THINKING STYLES

Abstract

In this study that is conducted to examine the thinking styles of vocational high school students in different situations they encountered, it was investigated whether there is a meaningful relation between their thinking styles and their major, grades, genders, types of education, and ages or not. Descriptive scanning model was used in the study. The "Thinking Styles Scale" developed by Sünbül (2004) was used to determine students' thinking styles in a study carried out on a total of 130 students from Ondokuz Mayıs University, Vezirköprü Vocational School. SPSS.21 statistical package program was used in analyzing the data. According to findings obtained as a result of the research; it was determined that there was no meaningful difference in the thinking styles of the students depending on the education type and age, but there were significant differences in the thinking styles that the students preferred according to their major, class level, and gender. In addition, several proposals have been made about the subject as a result of this research.
